kitchen and bathroon

The assignment was to take photos of ordinary bathroom and kitchen utensils. I chose to photograph my shampoos and lotions and brightened the image because i think the scents aim to make a person feel happy. I used the light and vibrant colors to emphasize this. In the kitchen, I photographed measuring spoons that are shaped like hearts. I like the reflection of the light on the water and the pattern of the spoon shapes.

photomerge

I took about 20 shots of the mansion windows and used photomerge to merge them together. I'm happy with the result because it produced an interesting shape and the lighting contrasts well with the dark background. Line is predominant in this photo as well as light vs. dark (or contrast).

pet portrait

I took this photo of my cousin at a party with a petting zoo and pony. I chose to take it in black and white to emphasize her expression and the texture of the pony's mane. Even though it is not her pet, she is very passionate about animals and this photo demonstrates her excitement while riding the pony :]

I took several photos of different animals at the zoo, but I love peacocks and chose my best 3 shots of them. For the first pop art I wanted to use colors that make sense for a peacock but are not realistic hues. The 2nd shot is a formal portrait that pays close attention to composition and a formal shot of the head. The 3rd is an environmental portrait and I chose to increase the contrast so that the silhouette is clearly outlined.
