This is a photo i took for my portrait series of the drama students. I had Nicole look out the window with a dreamlike look to create a "distant" photograph. I played with value in this photo by slightly raising the contrast to get a sharp formal portrait. This style is a perfect example of emphasis because the background is dull in order to have only the person visible.
